GORBEL高博公司的美国生产基地分别设于纽约州和阿拉巴马州，其组合式起重机和旋臂起重机在北美市场广泛受到欢迎，占有率高。GORBEL高博公司拥有超过30年研发、生产起重设备的经验和成熟的客服团队以及优秀的经销商网络，多年来一直保证99%的准时交货率。

自上世纪70年代末开始，GORBEL高博公司就一直致力于为所有制造型企业提供物料高架输送的安全、高效、人性化解决方案。

1977-1993

● 成立初期，GORBEL高博主要生产手动旋臂起重机，旋臂由结构钢制成，用于在作业环境中提升和搬运物品。后来，随着公司的发展，开始生产电动旋臂起重机，扩展了产品范围；
● 为了满足人性化物料输送需求，GORBEL高博开发了一系列封闭型轨组合式起重机，包括GORBEL高博组合式自立起重机、组合式悬挂起重机、单轨起重机和组合式旋臂起重机；
● Rochester技术研究所的人机工程学实验室经过严谨的科学研究，发现与传统的手动工字钢起重机相比，GORBEL高博组合式起重机将生产效率提高28%，可实现100：1的生产比率，大幅提高了生产效率。

1994

GORBEL高博建立全面质量管理理念，积极开发新项目、新产品并将产品更快地推向市场。

● 研发推出起重量为2000kg的封闭型轨起重机
● 增加固定型轨与主梁的跨度，跨度可达9m
● 开发推出新型的专利铝质型轨
● 开发推出新型的钢质桁架型轨
● 短期快速交货——在美国，最初的交货期为10天，现在只需3天即可交货；
● 交货保证——“如果逾期交货，我们将负担运费”，若GORBEL高博未能在合同装船的日期当天或之前将货物备好，GORBEL高博公司将承担运费；
● 大多数产品５年质保——在美国，本行业的工业保修期限为2年或4000小时使用时间。现在，GORBEL高博将工业保修期限延长到5年或10000小时使用时间；
● 新品研发——为满足客户对特定起重机的需求，GORBEL高博不断研发新型产品，如伸缩主梁、互锁/转接起重机、操作平台、AL100、铰接式旋臂起重机、牵引器和抗震（IV）起重机。

1996-2000

● 随着组合式起重机销量的不断上涨，GORBEL高博在阿拉巴马Pell城建立了第二个生产基地；
● 建立GORBEL高博美国网站：www.gorbel.com，GORBEL高博在网站上建立了经销商专区，介绍各种应用案例以支持经销商；
● 在纽约州Fishers建立了最新基地，毗邻总部。该技术中心占地32000平方英尺，是GORBEL高博研发、销售、市场和信息技术部门的总部；
● 进入人机工程学提升领域：GORBEL高博成功研发智能型提升装置G-Force™ ，该产品通过对货物施加额外作用力，增大操作人员力量。在G-Force™的帮助下，一个工人可提起重量高达75kg的物体。G-Force™的内部计算机系统可以感应货物重量并进行相应调整，这样，工人只需提升5%的货物重量，剩下95%的重量即由该设备负荷。G-Force™尤为适用于高速机动的生产环境。

2001-2004

● G-Force™荣获工程产品杂志（Product Engineering Magazine）2000年度推荐产品称号；
● 进一步扩展生产线，开始生产克利夫兰专利轨（Cleveland Tramrail® Underhung Systems）。2002年8月，在Fishers生产基地，克利夫兰专利轨道厂房竣工。克利夫兰专利轨道生产线是GORBEL高博现有生产线的完美补充，其同样体现了GORBEL高博产品的高品质——A CLASS ABOVE (至高至博，追求卓越）；
● 2003年Easy Arm™的问世，并在7月初投入生产，GORBEL高博将G-Force™的专利技术同工业传感驱动系统结合，研制出第一台人性化铰接式旋臂起重机。该产品被评为设备工程产品杂志（Plant Engineering Product）年度产品称号；
● G-Force™智能辅助提升设备开始应用于平台安装设计；
● 克利夫兰专利轨道生产线开始生产专利轨道起重机系统以及新设计的C系列型轨小车。

2005-2007

●为了更好地服务亚洲市场，2006年5月25日，GORBEL高博（天津）起重设备有限公司在天津滨海新区正式成立。它是美国GORBEL International Inc.在中国设立的首个生产基地，投资总额达620万美元，占地1.65万平米；
●G-Force™300kg型号荣获设备工程产品杂志（Plant Engineering Product）2007年度最佳产品金牌。

2008-2010

● 推出Tether Track™，主要应用于防止工人急速掉落钩锁保护设备；
● 扩大产品线，推出应用于75kg/150kg起重量的Easy Arm™；
● 推出应用于75kg/150kg/300kg起重量的G-Force™（针对Q/iQ系列)；
● 推出600kg起重量的G-Force™产品；
● 2009年2月推出GORBEL高博中文网站全新上线（www.gorbel.com.cn），并于当年在中国地区成功开拓风电行业和铁路行业；
● 2010年1月，GORBEL高博推出新产品G-Jib™ 。

2011-2014

● 2011年1月，GORBEL高博推出新产品——铝制主梁龙门起重机；
● GORBEL高博移动应用程序正式上线（该App适用于iPhone、iPad）；
● 发布新型智能型辅助装置——智能传感处理器；
● 2012年，在中国使用GORBEL高博产品的最终用户超过1400家；
● 2013年，中国开展经销商调查；
● 2013年5月，GORBEL高博在中国市场正式推出 5吨工字钢式旋臂起重机；
● 2013年10月，GORBEL高博在中国市场正式推出铝质主梁组合式起重机；
● 2013年12月，GORBEL高博正式取得ISO9001:2008质量管理体系证书；
● 2014年3月，GORBEL高博在中国市场正式推出环链电动葫芦；
● 2014年7月，GORBEL高博（天津）起重设备有限公司新版网站上线；
● 201９年10月，GORBEL高博在中国市场正式推出铝质组合式起重机。

Gorbel is a manufacturer of overhead material handling and fall protection products in the industrial sector, and gait and balance therapy products in the rehabilitation world. Gorbel is on the cutting edge of manufacturing; a thriving, growing company that is constantly seeking out new ways to innovate and elevate our products and our processes.

Gorbel was founded in 1977 by Dave Reh. Dave was a Clarkson grad with over a decade of experience selling material handling equipment. He was frustrated and underwhelmed by many of his vendors, so he set out to start his own company, with better service and faster delivery, a business that could serve markets beyond the Rochester area and provide opportunities for other people to succeed. And with that, the Gorbel story began.

Gorbel quickly built a reputation for quality products and excellent customer service. In 1986, we expanded our product line to include enclosed track Work Station Cranes, first importing and private labeling them from European manufacturers, and eventually making them here in the U.S.

We soon outgrew our location in Fairport. In 1990, we moved into the building where you’re currently standing. When we first moved into this building, we shared the 16,000 square feet of office space and 48,000 square feet of factory space with two other companies.

By 1996, we were manufacturing both manual and motorized jib cranes, enclosed track work station cranes, gantry cranes, and work station jib cranes in our NY plant. Our business had grown to a point that we needed a better solution for serving customers in other parts of the country. This led to us building an additional manufacturing facility in Pell City, AL.

Innovation has always been a key component to Gorbel’s success, and this period marked major innovations both in our product lines and in how we do business:
Our public website, www.gorbel.com, went live in 1997. The site now sees more than 135,000 users a year from over 175 countries.

In 1998, we built a new building to the west of this main building to house our growing Research and Development department and their testing needs. Brian Reh began his official career here as Manufacturing Operations Specialist in 1998, but he was a familiar face around here long before that. Brian is a product of the Victor Central Schools, and even in his school days, he was working at Gorbel, doing everything from landscaping to sweeping floors to making manuals. He would later become Business Development Manager in 2001, then President in 2003, and then President and CEO in 2010.

In 1999, we launched our G-Force® Intelligent Lifting Device. Operators were able to lift loads up to 165 lbs with only 3 lbs of force. Through the years, we continued to enhance the product, and the G-Force® is now available in capacities up to 1320 lbs!

In 2002, we purchased the Cleveland Tramrail® product line from a company in nearby Montour Falls, and transferred manufacturing to a third new building here on Fishers Run.

Cleveland Tramrail® had a long legacy and was a very recognized name in the industry. We could now offer material handling solutions in capacities to 40 ton. Also, putting Cleveland Tramrail® into our CraneBrain® system made life much easier for the well-established sales channel who were used to doing complicated calculations to pick the right crane for their customers.

By 2005 Gorbel opened a sales office in Troy, MI, focused on meeting the needs of the many automotive-centered customers in that area.

We expanded our global reach in 2006 with the opening of our Gorbel Tianjin plant outside Beijing, China. This allowed us to better serve U.S. customers who had expanded their manufacturing into China. This was our fastest growth period ever, and in 2007, our workforce hit 200 people.

By 2011 Gorbel added ShopCrane to our product line.

Every year, the Rochester Business Alliance publishes their Rochester Top 100 list of the fastest growing privately held companies in the Rochester area. Gorbel has made that list 18 times since the list began in 1986, and in 2012, we made it to #3.

In 2015 Gorbel took a bold step into the medical arena. We launched the SafeGait 360 Balance and Mobility Trainer, which takes our G-Force® Intelligent Lifting Technology and uses it to help patients who are recovering from stroke, spinal cord injuries, amputations, or traumatic brain injuries to learn to walk again in a way that decreases the risk of injury to both the patients and their therapists.

With business booming, multiple new products added to our product families, and our number of new hires consistently growing, we were running out of room here in Fishers Run. We were bursting at the seams in all three buildings, so we took over Building 610. The new facility gave us more office space, allowed us to move all G-Force® and Easy Arm® manufacturing into one building, and includes a mezzanine large enough to hold the entire NY work force for all-in meetings and company celebrations.

Business continued to grow through 2017 and 2018. In 2017, we celebrated our 40th year in business with a huge party at our Fishers headquarters for employees, families, and friends. For many, it was the first time seeing our newly updated campus. For others, it was a chance to try out our new Rehab line of products and really understand how the technology we mastered in the industrial world was working to help people in the rehabilitation world regain their mobility faster and with more confidence.

2018 was a bittersweet year for Gorbel®. We opened up our third North American manufacturing plant in July, this one in Goodyear, Arizona. The plant allows us to better serve our dealers and customers on the West Coast. Sadly, in August of 2018, we lost Dave Reh, our founder and Chairman. Although Dave wasn’t as involved in the day to day happenings at Gorbel® as he had been in earlier years, he was still a beloved part of Gorbel® and dearly missed. Before he passed, however, he got to see the company he built become an international powerhouse with over 400 employees, serving not only the industrial world, but also the medical rehabilitation world.
